Jubilee USA Network is an alliance of 75 religious denominations and faith communities, human rights, environmental, labor, and community groups working for the definitive cancellation of crushing debts to fight poverty and injustice in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The central legislative objective of the 2007 Sabbath Year is a hearing in the House and introduction into the Senate of the Jubilee Act for Responsible Lending and Expanded Debt Cancellation. This bill will expand eligibility for 100 percent debt cancellation without harmful economic conditions to 67 impoverished countries in the Global South.
