Class & Social Change
Classism plays out in a many ways in groups and organizations. Social change organizations, even those attuned to class issues, are not immune to its impact. None of us are immune to the influence of growing up in, and living in, a classist society. Yet classism inhibits our ability to bring about change and to include all of the people we need to be successful.
This month Class Action offers “Questions About Class for Our Organizations” as a tool to help you examine the organizations in which you participate. Whether you are a member, volunteer, staff person, or board member, getting started makes a difference. Pull together a few others and start a study group using these questions as a guide.
We invite you to use the following questions. Click the link below to download a PDF version. You may copy it and use it with your groups, as long as you acknowledge Class Action.
